Holiday House
The Hamptons, NY
Inspired by the rhythmic geometry of the Hamptons piers, this space channels a modern maritime sensibility through texture, tone, and intention. A custom 11-foot hanging rope sculpture anchors the room, preserving a nautical thread that nods to the setting just beyond the walls. The color palette—dusty lavender, apricot, and sand—mirrors the hues of sunrise and sunset, chosen to reflect the natural rhythm of a bedroom’s use.
Bringing the environment into the home—and making that environment personal—is at the heart of my design philosophy. Every space begins with how people truly live and their stories, which lends to meaningful design that feels authentic to each client.
This room was conceived not only with place in mind, but with purpose in telling a story as well. Custom created for The Holiday House Design Showhouse, the space also honors my grandmother, a breast cancer survivor, with a vintage Bain de Soleil art piece. My memories with her on the beach and finding this piece by complete happenstance allowed me to capture the spirit of our love within the room.
